１９７０年代に日本で”I Want You to Want Me”っていう　甘い罠、そんな曲が売れて　その他”surrender”とか　少しわかりやすく甘そうな歌とかもあって　日本で人気が出て　日本武道館でライブをやって　その頃のロビンの甘いマスクで　日本で人気が頂点に　その後はアメリカで人気が出て　売れっ子バンドになった。日本に来た頃の曲って　やっぱ、ハードロックっぽい曲もあって　聴きやすい曲は聴きやすいが、聞きにくいものは本当聞きにくかったと思う。また、４人編成のライブバンドなので　演奏はすごく上手なんでしょうけど、少しアメリカンロックが入ってとっつきにくいって感じだった思うが、年々、メロディアスで曲として良い曲？本当はハードロックをやりたいでしょうけど、ウケが悪いので　良い曲をやるようになっていったような気がしますが、リックがメロディアスが好きなんでしょう。作ろうと思えばいくらでも出てきそうな　そんな存在だと思うので　結構簡単なことだったとは思いますが、でも個性的ではある。

音の触り方がひどい！

音もずいぶんさわってて　”dream police”のころは　シンセサイザー使ってる？って感じの音で　でも、コンピュータ系は使っていませんって感じで　否定してましたが、Cheap Trickとして完成された音になっていた。これがCheap Trickの音って感じだ。その後は音を触りまくりって感じで　いろんなことをやってるって感じの音で　ロックンロールバンドとしては最高だとは思いますが、ちょっとほしいのは　ロビンのマスクを選んだので　ロビンの声が少し軽く聞こえて　その辺で損をしてる感はある。やっぱ、ロッドスチュアート的なボーカルなら　もっと違うものになってたというか　プロっぽくなってたと思うか　でも、その辺がCheap Trickの個性なので　メジャーバンドになってしまったので　変える必要はないんでしょうけど、また、ロビンの若いころは動きあるボーカリストだったが、晩年はあまり動かないというか　もともと　あまりアクションのないボーカルではあるが　なんかまったくというほど動かなくなった感がありますが、演奏に集中してるんでしょうか。

ロビンの音域は驚異的です。

すごいのはロビンの音域　半端なく広い、なにこれっていうぐらい声がでる、すごいの一言ですが。オクターブ違いで同じ曲を　３つぐらいの音程で歌えそうな、すごい高音です。最近は、６５歳は言ってると思いますが、相変わらずの高音で　なんでも歌えますって感じですが。年いっちゃってルックス的にはあれですけど　そりゃ無理ですから　どっちかというとリックのほうが　年いってちょっと渋くなったというか　でもギターの弾き方は相変わらずの　コミカルな動きではありますが　しかし、リックのように自由にギターが弾ければ最高ですが。

ロックバンドには２人のいけ面が必要？
